Project

With the data provided by the current monitoring program we will be able to increase our understanding of relevant proceses for storing CO2 in the deep subsurface. This includes chemical changes in the reservoir and assessing well integrity through time.

Gas composition and chemical tracer analysis are made at regular intervals in combination with pressure, temperature and flow performance measurements in order to closely monitor the reservoir. Special attention is spent on investigating the potential for enhanced gas recovery (EGR).

Downhole conditions, and especially changes in downhole conditions, during CO2 injection and gas production are an important addition to various well logging tools in order to investigate well integrity at K12-B.
